Central Florida Code Enforcement Association (CFCEA)

We are a large organization in Central Florida with members from Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. The CFCEA holds meetings quarterly (Jan, Apr, Jul & Oct). These meetings have training opportunities which are approved by the IOG for F.A.C.E. credits. Check our website for future training at http://www.cfcea.org/ or contact our President, Maddie McDonald, President, at codeenforcement@rockledgepolice.org   for further details. Our meetings offer free training for members and the opportunity to network with fellow code officers. Anyone interested in joining (the dues are still, only $20.00 a year), please contact our treasurer, Debra Boothe at debra.boothe@brevardcounty.us.

NEXT CFCEA Meeting:

Due to the ongoing concerns over the COVID-19 virus and many jurisdictions banning employees from traveling to all “non-essential" events and meetings we are unable to release a date for our April 2020 General Meeting at this time.  Currently, we are not cancelling this meeting and will monitor the situation and decisions will be revisited as this crisis evolves.  If this meeting is postponed, it will only be for the health and safety of our members and to follow the guidance of CDC for social distancing.

As F.A.C.E. stated in their email to its membership, it is too our fervent hope is that immediate preventive actions will flatten the epidemic sufficiently to get back to business as usual.

As this situation is rapidly changing. We encourage you to be well informed and proactive in your personal response to this virus.  Up to date information is available directly from the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html  or the Florida Health Department http://www.floridahealth.gov/

At this time, again, we are not canceling the quarterly meeting, but possibly postponing it.  The Annual F.A.C.E. Scholarship Drawing will still happen once the meeting date is confirmed.

Please note, should the postponement of our General meeting be a date where it could not be timely to ensure the winner is able to attend the conference, or any other reason, the Board will schedule a Special Meeting to be able to have the drawing.

Officer of the Quarter: Please submit your nominations for Officer of the Quarter. Nominations can be from a co-worker, supervisor or other departments within your organization. Nominations are open to any CFCEA member in good standing and are held for one year. Please get these to a board member as soon as possible.

Scholarship Raffle: Reminder to all our members, when you attend the meetings, you have the opportunity for your name to be entered into our scholarship raffle at the April 2020's meeting. YOUR membership must be current in order to qualify for the scholarship. What this means is that if your name is drawn and your membership is current, the C.F.C.E.A. will pay for your three-day hotel stay and the conference registration, to the FACE Annual Conference in June. At each meeting there is a chance to purchase additional tickets to increase your chances for the raffle.

50/50 Raffle:   We also have C.F.C.E.A. Polo shirts and T-shirts available for purchase as well as a 50/50 raffle!  Remember to bring your business cards for the business card drawing.
