Certification is offered by the Florida Association of Code Enforcement in three curriculum levels: Level I - Fundamentals of Code Enforcement; Level II - Administrative Aspects of Code Enforcement; and Level III - Legal Issues in Code Enforcement. Certification in each level requires the completion of all course work and a passing grade on the exam. The Florida Association of Code Enforcement also offers a Certificate as a Code Enforcement Professional for achieving all three levels of certification and successful completion of the legal issues paper and employment for at least three years as a code enforcement officer.
Examinations are under the control and monitoring supervision of Professional Testing Services, Inc. The fee for the examinations is $75 if received two weeks before the date of the examination, $110 after that date and $110 for non-members.
Refunds less a $20.00 administrative fee are given if written cancellation is received at least three days prior to the exam.
